Emerson is a 2019 graduate of Harvard Law School, where he was a Notes editor on the Harvard Law Review, a Training Director for the Tenant Advocacy Project, and a student attorney with the Protect Democracy and Project on Predatory Student Lending clinics. Before law school, he worked at a civil legal services firm and supported stop-and-frisk reform in New York City. He holds a B.A. in American Studies from Northwestern University.
