Ashley joined Demos in 2022, supporting the organization’s democracy policy portfolio. Prior to joining Demos, Ashley was the Democracy Policy Manager at Indivisible where she worked to pass federal democracy reform legislation including the For the People Act, court expansion, and D.C. statehood. In addition to supporting Indivisible’s policy and government relations efforts, Ashley also worked with Indivisible chapters to build their advocacy skills and understanding of legislative process. Before that, Ashley was the Operations Associate at the Funders Committee for Civic Participation.

Ashley graduated with a BA in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. While earning her degree, she served as the Managing Editor of Michigan in Color, the section of the Michigan Daily dedicated by and for students of color. Ashley credits this experience with cementing her passion for building power in Black and brown communities.

In Ashley’s free time, she enjoys playing soccer, cooking, taking care of her plethora of houseplants, and checking out the local restaurant scene. She is also an organizer with the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network.
