On today’s show, we talk with Taifa Smith Butler, the outgoing President and CEO of the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute.
Taifa has been an advocate for equitable policy in the Peach State for two decades, including 10 years with GBPI. She’ll be leaving GBPI to become President of Demos, a progressive think tank with a national focus, later this summer. But first she tells us about GBPI’s victories during her tenure and the importance of focusing on anti-racist policies and breaking down the barriers that keep all Georgians from thriving.
