ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Missouri makes a list of ten states at risk for “voter bullying,” in a report released by the voting rights groups Common Cause and Demos.
“We fear that there are going to be organized, mass challenges to targeted communities where voters are going to be challenged and potentially kicked off the rolls,” said study author Liz Kennedy.
The ten states reviewed in “Bullies at the Ballot Box” are Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania , Texas and Virginia.
States were chosen based on tight races and past problems, Kennedy said.
The study claims that “self-appointed partisan activists” are working to recruit a million volunteers to challenge and block certain voters’ rights on and before election day.
