Preventing inflation is not a reason for an interest rate hike, which would only lead to a Fed-induced recession that will disproportionately impact Black and brown workers. As Angela told CNBC, “We know Black and brown workers are the first fired, last hired." We can't fix inflation at the expense of their livelihoods.
