Kaitlin joined Demos in October 2016. She currently assists the Executive Office, including project management, event planning and logistics coordination.

Prior to joining Demos, Kaitlin was a Program Officer at Asia Society’s Washington, D.C. office, where she was a member of a pioneering team responsible for transitioning the office to the Asia Society Policy Institute. She handled policy research and writing, communications and social media strategy, and planned and coordinated events such as the Awards Dinner, senior level round-table discussions and the Ambassador Luncheon series. Prior to Asia Society, she worked briefly with the office of Congressman Rick Larsen (D-WA), coordinating his U.S.-China Working Group caucus.

In her home state of Washington, Kaitlin also worked with Washington State’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs where she developed strategic outreach plans and program proposals, focusing on major issue areas of immigration, public health, economic development and education legislation.

Kaitlin holds a Masters of Arts in International Studies from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, and undergraduate degrees in Political Science, Asian Studies and Chinese. She spent time studying and working in Beijing and speaks Mandarin Chinese. She spends her time hiking, camping and exploring.
