Joseph DiNorcia is the Chief Financial & Operations Officer. Joe is responsible for all of the financial and administrative operations of the organization and serves as a member of the organization’s Executive Team.
Prior to joining Demos, Joe was the Vice President of Finance and Operations for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Joe was responsible for the finance and operations departments of AFA.
AFA is the national largest nonprofit organization dedicated to providing optimal care and services to individuals confronting Alzheimer’s and to give their caregivers and families through member organizations.
Prior to joining AFA, Joe was the President and CEO of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). SIECUS is a 45-year old, nonprofit organization working to promote comprehensive education about sexuality for people of all ages and advocating for the rights of individuals to make informed sexual and reproductive decisions.
Joe was responsible for all strategic, financial and programmatic activities of the agency including the State and Community Advocacy Project, the School Health Project, the Family Project, the Mary S. Calderone Library, and the SIECUS Report, among others. Joe was instrumental in developing and managing SIECUS’ International Program and establishing SIECUS’ DC-based Public Policy Office as an important voice in advocating for sexuality education, sexual health, and reproductive rights.
Prior to joining SIECUS, Joe was the Vice President of Finance and Administration at the Intrepid Museum Foundation, a $5 million dollar, not-for-profit museum in New York City. He also worked for Outreach Project Inc., a non-profit drug and alcohol services organization that runs residential facilities for youth ages 17 and under who are drug or alcohol addicted as well as outpatient services for adults throughout New York.
