Demos means “the people”, and since our founding in 2000, we have been fighting to ensure that all people in this country are given an equal say in our democracy and an equal chance in our economy. However, inequality—economic, political and racial—is on the rise. It threatens the promise of America by weakening our democracy and denying millions of Americans the economic security they deserve. Your tax-deductible donation is critical to helping Demos create the ideas and action needed to fight against these growing inequalities, and to ensure that we create a better America for future generations.

Director of Development
Donate a Gift of Stock
A gift to Demos of stocks and mutual funds can provide you with tax advantages. For instructions on donating securities please contact David Alexander, using the information given above.
We ask that you inform Demos of your gift. Because privacy laws discourage brokerage firms from releasing the names of clients, you must give Demos permission to recognize your stock donation, in order for us to credit and thank you for your generous gift.
Make a Matching Gift
Double the impact of your donation with a matching gift from your employer. If your employer offers this option, please take a moment to get a matching gift form and follow the directions to initiate the match. Include your form with your donation to Demos, and we will notify you when your gift has been matched.
Join the Demos Legacy Society
Members of the Demos Legacy Society will ensure that future generations of Americans have a say over the policies that impact their lives and access to the opportunities that will allow them to succeed. All it takes to join is to make a charitable gift to Demos in your Will. It’s a simple action with a powerful and lasting impact.
We encourage you to let us know if you have made a bequest to Demos in your Will, and would be honored to recognize your generosity publicly (though we are also happy to keep your intentions anonymous if you choose). For a list of frequently asked questions and a bequest pledge form, click here.
