Juhem joined Demos as a Senior Policy Analyst in 2014. His research at Demos focuses on democracy issues: the role of money in politics and voting rights.
Before joining Demos, Juhem was a Research Associate at Public Religion Research Institute where he worked on public opinion surveys studying the intersection of religion and politics in the United States. He was also a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Secularism in Society & Culture at Trinity College (Hartford, Conn.) where he was the lead analyst of the landmark 2008 American Religious Identification Survey. Juhem has also taught courses on quantitative methods, American political behavior, and Latino Studies at the University of Connecticut and has published several reports, articles, and book chapters on American political behavior and research methods. His research has been covered by many major national and international news outlets including the New York Times, NPR, Latina Magazine, the American Prospect, Reforma (Mexico), O'Globo (Brazil), and the London Times.
Juhem holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. in Political Science from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras.
