Tuesday, April 5, 2016 (All day)

Join Demos, the Center for Community Change, Color of Change, Common Cause, the Economic Policy Institute, and Jobs with Justice at Busboys and Poets on April 14 at 6:15 pm for a rousing conversation about how the new working class has the potential to transform our economic and political systems.

Tamara Draut, author of the new book Sleeping Giant: How the New Working Class Will Transform America, will be joined in conversation by organizers who lift the voices and concerns of working-class Americans, including Ronnie Galvin, Senior Advisor at the Center for Community Change; Tiffany Loftin, Program Coordinator for the Civil, Human and Women’s Rights Department at the AFL-CIO; and Enchanta Jackson, Criminal Justice Campaign Manager at Color of Change.

During the panel discussion, the conversants will share their experiences on the frontline of these movements and their hopes for the future. We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a spirited and inspiring discussion on the movements that are changing the balance of power.
