Catherine Ruetschlin brings an original, astute voice to economic issues, labor policy, and upward mobility. Catherine’s analysis appears regularly in the media, including The New York Times, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business News, Al Jazeera-America, and BBC. Ruetschlin has been a part of the Demos team since 2011, most recently as a Senior Policy Analyst, in which capacity she authored some of the organization's most widely-circulated, impactful reports: "Retail's Hidden Potential: How Raising Wages Would Benefit Workers, the Industry, and the Overall Economy" and "The Racial Wealth Gap: Why Policy Matters" (co-authored with Amy Traub). Ruestschlin serves concurrently as Visiting Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
