In a big victory for low-paid workers, President Obama announced an executive order in his State of the Union address which requires federal contractors to raise their minimum wage to $10.10 an hour, increasing the wages of hundreds of thousands.

But he could go further. By issuing a Good Jobs Executive Order to raise agencies' labor standards, he could give a raise to the entire workforce of federally-supported employers, putting millions of Americans on a pathway to the middle class.
