Youjin B. Kim
Demos Expert
Youjin B. Kim joined Demos in March 2009. Her research focuses on various aspects of voter registration including the implementation of the National Voter Registration Act, Same Day Registration, and Voter Registration Modernization. She is the co-author of Increasing Access in Hard Times and other reports.
Prior to Demos, Youjin worked on various research projects, including the construction of a dataset on ethnic institutions and violence, and her own work focused on international democracy assistance. As a recipient of the State Department's Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, Youjin spent two semesters in Berlin, Germany, studying Western European politics, specifically its social welfare, immigration and immigrant policies.
Youjin holds a Masters degree in Politics from New York University and a B.A. in International Relations and German, also from New York University.
