EXPERTS FROM DEMOS AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT ON KATRINA ANNIVERSARY, INFRASTRUCTURE AND PUBLIC INVESTMENT
New York, NY--As the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaches, the national, non-partisan public policy and research center Demos is offering for interviews staff and fellows who can comment on the importance of maintaining and improving the country's ailing infrastructure. In addition to its longstanding work on election reform, household economic issues and civic engagement, Demos also has a "Public Works" program that helps state leaders promote public investment through effective government.
Experts from Demos are available to discuss physical and policy infrastructure problems revealed by disasters like Katrina and the bridge collapse in Minnesota, and how these issues are part of a larger public policy debate about the country's resources.
