Economic Opportunity

Young Adults

Although adults of all ages have endured the economic and social changes wrought by the postindustrial era, today's young adults are the first to experience its full weight as they try to start their adult lives. But the challenges facing young adults also reflect the failure of public policy to address the changing realities of building a life in the twenty-first century. As a result, it has become increasingly difficult for this new generation of young adults to either work or educate their way into the middle class.

From college access and affordability, to issues facing new parents, Demos is committed to renewing our nation's commitment to opportunity and the common good.
