Advocates, scholars, grassroots organizers, political leaders, and many others attended this unique conference about the growing concentration of wealth, income, power, and opportunity in America.
Inequality Matters was sponsored by Demos, Inequality.org and United for a Fair Economy. The aim of the conference was to move a critical national problem to the forefront of American politics and public discourse.
The panels and discussions were designed so that participants can share knowledge, develop tools, and build momentum for a sustained campaign of popular education and grassroots advocacy.
Speakers included Bill Moyers, Barbara Ehrenreich, William Greider, Bertha Lewis, Stanley Greenberg, Chellie Pingree, Meizhu Lui, Robert Franklin, and many others.
