Please join Demos, The Strand, and Yahoo! Finance for a lively evening celebrating Nomi Prins’ acclaimed new book, All the Presidents’ Bankers: The Hidden Alliances that Drive American Power.

All the Presidents’ Bankers delivers an explosive account of the longstanding interdependence between the White House and Wall Street.  Prins weaves a fascinating narrative of how an elite group of men transformed the American economy and government, dictated domestic public policy, and shaped world history over the past century.  Prins deftly ushers readers into the intimate world of Ivy League schools, exclusive clubs, vacation spots, and closed-door deals, to provide a detailed history of how power operates in America.  All the Presidents’ Bankers shows that with no line between political and financial authority, there can be no true democracy— and that the time has come to break these alliances before it’s too late.

Don’t miss this intense debate about the genealogy of American power, the effect of family and mentorship connections on money and government, and reforming our nation’s banker-driven system.

Demos’ Rich Benjamin will emcee. The author will sign books after the program.

RSVP now with a purchase of All the Presidents’ Bankers or a $15 Strand gift card.

Nomi Prins is a frequent public speaker, world-renowned investigative journalist, and Senior Fellow at Demos.  After 15 years of direct experience in the pressurized world of global finance, she walked away from the game in 2002 out of disgust with the burgeoning corruption.  During her years as an executive at investment banks—Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, and Goldman Sachs, where she became a Managing Director—Prins never lost her ability to see the broader picture. Prins is now a member of Senator Bernie Sanders’ Federal Reserve Reform Advisory Council and is listed as one of America’s TopWonks.  Prins is the author of five other books, including It Takes a Pillage and Black Tuesday.

Lauren Lyster is a co-host and reporter for Yahoo Finance's Daily Ticker. Lyster also anchors Yahoo Finance’s “Hot Stock Minute,” a popular daily show airing live from the Nasdaq MarketSite.  Lyster interviews the biggest names in business, ranging from CEOs and fund managers, to economists, policymakers, and political leaders.

Rich Benjamin is Senior Fellow at Demos. His work appears regularly in the media including PBS, NPR, The New York Times, MSNBC, Fox Business, and C-SPAN.  Benjamin will be a 2014 Fellow in the Literary Arts at The Bellagio Center, Italy, working on his next book—about power and class.
