David Rubino
Demos Staff
David is an attorney who joined the Democracy program at Demos in September 2011. His focus is on litigation related to elections, with a particular emphasis on the National Voter Registration Act.
Prior to joining Demos, David worked for the American Bar Association, where he served internationally as the director for ABA’s Rule of Law Initiative programs in Azerbaijan, Morocco and the Republic of Georgia. In that capacity, David help to launch Azerbaijan’s first Women’s Bar Association – an organization dedicated to serving victims of human trafficking and promoting gender equality. He also co-wrote a guide for lawyers and judges regarding the legal mechanisms for asserting elections-related complaints.
A litigator for more than a decade, David has conducted a number of trainings and continuing legal education courses regarding trial advocacy and litigation skills and judicial independence.
David received his J.D. from Fordham Law School and his B.A. from Tufts University.
