Alexander Amend

Alex joined the Communications Department in August of 2010. He is responsible for overseeing Demos' online work, social media, and assists the editing of the Demos blog, PolicyShop.

Prior to Demos, Alex interned at Talking Points Memo, MinnPost and spent a year at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in Washington DC. Most recently he worked on Arianna Huffington's book Third World America as a freelance researcher and reporter.

Alex hails from Minneapolis and is a 2008 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism.
